Pastor Hacks-Painting The Picture

Habakkuk 2:2-3 (Amplified Bible)
And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that everyone who passes may [be able to] read [it easily and quickly] as he hastens by.
For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end [fulfillment]; it will not deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry, wait [earnestly] for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed day.

We’er having our first team meeting today before service and I’m excited about the opportunity to start to paint the picture for the ministry team of what our God ordained destiny should look like.

Hebrews 11:1 (Amplified Bible)
NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].

Leaders should be praying and fasting to get the download from the Holy Ghost about what “there” should to look like. Then they should paint a vivid picture for the ministry team and then the congregation about what God is going to do.

I’m expecting the Spirit of God to breathe on my words today and create a God given hope inside the hearts and minds of the ministry team. Then as each individual member seeks Gods face He’ll reveal their part of it.

Pastor Hacks-Money Or Ministry Minded?

Luke 8:1-3 (New Living Translation)
1 Soon afterward Jesus began a tour of the nearby towns and villages, preaching and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom of God. He took his twelve disciples with him, 2 along with some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases. Among them were Mary Magdalene, from whom he had cast out seven demons; 3 Joanna, the wife of Chuza, Herod’s business manager; Susanna; and many others who were contributing their own resources to support Jesus and his disciples.

When confronted with the realities of starting a ministry from scratch it is easy to be distracted by the money issue.

But this is the truth. Effective ministry does not follow after money, money follows after effective ministry. Limit yourself to doing only that which Jesus has commanded and believe Him for the supply. You will never lack a good thing.

When you have lack issues in the ministry it’s always a capacity issue on your end and never a supply issue on His end.

Increase you capacity to receive and He’ll increase the supply. Increase the capacity of your spirit with prayer, fasting and meditation in the Word and He’ll send more people and the money required to minister to those people.

Philippians 4:19 (Amplified Bible)
And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

When you see every necessity as yet another opportunity to believe God you’ll be unstoppable.

Seasons

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (Amplified Bible)
TO EVERYTHING there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven:

The Church I’ve been serving at for the last 8 years is closing it’s door this Sunday.

I’ve known in my spirit for many months that big time change was coming, so when I heard the news I wasn’t dismayed or sadden. I knew this to was just part of the process of the Lord doing His will in the earth.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (Amplified Bible)
Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.
In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.

I’ve known for a couple of years that the Lord was getting ready to move me out into my own ministry. And the Holy Ghost has been working overtime on me to get me in position to make the change.

This process has been both unpleasant and exciting at the same time. Because a change in status always requires first a change in you.

Change is sometimes hard on the soul and flesh. Many people miss their season because they are unwilling to change.

Throughout this whole process of change I’ve had to fight to maintain my focus on the Lord, His person and in-workings in me. Fight to stay attentive to the voice of the Holy Ghost and be careful not to step out of line of His directions.

Hebrews 11:1-3 (Amplified Bible)
NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, [a]the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].
For by [faith–trust and holy fervor born of faith] the men of old had divine testimony borne to them and obtained a good report.
By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive ages] were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible.

So I was laying on the couch last night just counting up the cost of doing this new thing and it was like how in the world am “I” going to do this? Where is all the money going to come from? Who is going to help me?

In a instant I lost my focus and took my eyes off Him and His unlimited provision and put my eyes back on me. Which is not a good thing.

Then Hebrews 11:1-3 came up in my spirit and this holy thought came to my mind…”I have faith in God, I have everything I need”.

John 16:13 (New Living Translation)
When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.

Is Jesus making great changes in your life? If you have faith in Him, His Word and Yield to the Holy Ghost this transition into this new season can be easy.

In fact you might even enjoy it…

The Holy Spirit already has the plan for your success. All the resources you need to put the plan into effect are already there waiting for you to make a demand on them, by faith.

If you’ll simply trust, listen and obey this whole process can be easy.

Sugar Free

1 Corinthians 6:12 (Amplified Bible)
Everything is permissible (allowable and lawful) for me; but not all things are helpful (good for me to do, expedient and profitable when considered with other things). Everything is lawful for me, but I will not become the slave of anything or be brought under its power.

You know things are getting bad when you go to Starbucks and all the baristas know your favorite drink.

I was becoming a latte fiend. Some days I was knocking back 2 lattes, plus the always necessary muffin.

Folks I was craving green tea lattes with soy a lot.

So after spending some time in prayer about how to walk in a higher level of divine health, it just came up in my spirit that I needed to deal with my craving for sugar.

Are you saying that eating sugar in sin brother preacher? Nope, I’m just saying for me it was something that I needed to lay aside because my desire for sweets had gotten out of control.

The only thing I want to crave is the presence of the Lord.

So today is my second week without lattes, muffins, cake, cookies…

It feels good to be sugar free.

It’s Your Move

James 4:8 (New Living Translation)
Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.

Came home last night at about 12 am and my 7 month old son was laying next to my wife in bed. When he saw me he started to kick his little legs and cry, which is his signal for daddy please pick me up.

So I stopped, looked down and smiled at him, then I picked him up and he stopped crying. In our dark bedroom I just held him close to my chest.

If you’ll respond to the Father God He’ll respond to you.
